Right to Privacy over internet : Right to privacy over internt is likea human right. In order to support right to privacy there was an act introduced which is know as the Right to Privacy act. There is no free standing act for U.K but there are a number of acts that protect the privacy in U.K.

Balancing Right to Privacy

There is a collision between right to privacy and right to freedom of information. There are many Circumstances where we need to compromise to balance these both rights.

Privacy vs. national security, police-The issue of police and personal privacy has been around From many years. Police activities involve I.D checking, monitoring the phone calls, internet Activities etc and each of these will definitely disturb privacy. Here it is very difficult to decide Whether privacy should be given more priority or police and national security. If the police not Given the information what he is needed the society will be effected and if the police and nationalSecurity are given more priority then it will effect the personal privacy. So it is important that there is a balance that both privacy and national security are given same priority. Privacy vs E-commerce -Privacy has a conflict with electronic commerce. These days electronic commerce is widely used. The main use of e-commerce is it transmits personal data over the internet. E-commerce has given big boost to revenue of business. If more importance is given to privacy the revenue which is obtained by e-commerce will be effected and if e-commerce is given more importance then privacy is effected.

Privacy vs Internet Secuirty -According to European convention on human rights article 8 nobody can interfere with an individual's private life. But banks and some other sector defiantly need our I.D s and detailed to do some job for us. These sectors store our information and keep our personal data with them. This information is also required by government to keep this like Identity fraud, illegal immigrants, terrorism away. So we can say that there is fine balance between security and privacy.

Internet Privacy-Every Individual has his/her right to access the internet but the details or personal information that are given in the web can be accessed by any other person using the web

There are many people who want to hack, violate the internet privacy. If some body wants to violate the internet privacy then can simply do it by entering a technology called cookie.Cookie. This cookie will remember your activity and will follow all your activites and will get the details.
